The taste is amazing. The energy you get after drinking it is perfect. I would say for me about 3 hours. I drag around 3pm and need some pick me up.

Tulsi Tea | Immunity Herbal Infusion | Tin Caddy | 50gm

Holy basil has been on my list of teas to try. It's better than I expected I was pleasantly surprised by the taste.

The flavor is refreshing. Teas are tricky to describe as one person may love a flavor another cannot stand. This herbal is good, but the amount in the bag is smaller than I anticipated. I generally use a tsp per 8oz poured into my infuser to let a greater amount steep. If you prefer a stronger flavor you may need to play around with your leaf to water ratio. ??

This Holy Basil (Tulsi) Tea has three varieties of tulsi combined with ginger, fennel, coriander and a couple of other herbs we're not familiar with. Tulsi is a traditional/ayurvedic (medicinal) herb used in India.

What is distinctive about this tea is the aroma - it is definitely spicy/peppery and the scent has had us opening the tin every now and then just to get a whiff. It's like walking through an herb garden.

We followed the brewing instructions. We don't recommend dispensing the tea directly into a tea cup and steeping hot water as indicated on the label. It's probably best to use a tea strainer.

The scent of the tea intensifies while brewing (absolutely lovely, relaxing) but for us the tea drinking experience was not pleasant. To us the resulting tea was bitter, very herbal and medicinal. We did not add a sweetener, and we will probably try the tea a second time with a teaspoon of honey.

The scent also suggests that this product might work well as a cooking ingredient (ie in a rice dish or as a rub for lamb or deer or quail).
