Hey! I have a question- wont adding hot water kill the probiotic bacteria in the matcha? How do we consume it then?

Luxmi Estates Vanilla Matcha: 34.99 for a 2oz container at the time of review

As I continue on my tea quest (never ending), I find myself returning to tees that I tried before and didn't like. Latest on my list is Matcha. I've tried several times to get into Matcha teas, but each time it just doesn't quite suit me. I was hoping that this tea blend Luxmi would change that with its addition of vanilla. Read on to find out my overall take.

As far as packaging goes, this Little tin with a well sealed foil bag of Macha powder would make a great gift. It's high production value, and I can appreciate that. Of course, that has nothing to do with the flavor of the tea. But considering that this is something that you might give us a gift, it's a nice touch.

As far as brewing the tea goes, it couldn't be easier. If you ever drink Matcha before, you know that you basically just add the powder to the water and then drink it. Additional Matcha sets will come with a bamboo stir as the tea tends to sink to the bottom. I used a small whisk for this purpose. However the unfortunate truth is that not even vanilla could save Matcha for me. There is a very heavy Matcha flavor and a very light vanilla flavor. If you're a fan of Matcha, you're probably going to love this. However, as I mentioned before, I am not. This just wasn't the tea to turn around my opinion. That being said, I'm not going to hold my personal taste against it. This is a very high grade Matcha and as I mentioned before if you like it, you'll probably love this.

Overall I think this is a great package. It's pretty expensive at $20 an ounce, but the fact of the matter is that any ceremonial grade Matcha is going to be right around that price. If you're a fan of Matcha and are looking for something a little different with a taste of vanilla, I don't see why you shouldn't give this a shot. Even though it wasn't for me, I can recognize that it's high-quality (I've had bad Matcha, and this isn't it) so my final score here is going to end up being five stars out of five. This is a very nice package and a very nice tea for those who love it. I personally wouldn't order it over again though as it didn't change my mind on Macha.
