Grown amidst ancient forests at the foothills of the Himalayas, our Darjeeling green tea is revered as a herb.

This green tea was first developed in 2004 when Gyokuro Sensi Tokishaku Yamashita visited us in the Himalayas. This tea finds devoted connoisseurs in Japan, even though the country itself produces some of the finest Darjeeling Makaibari green teas in the world. Its unique balance of sweetness and astringency with notes of fresh corn, make it a favourite amongst tea drinkers in Tokyo. It is high in Orac values and may be taken through the day.

Tasting Notes: Delicate & fresh, earthy with hints of rice, corn.

Makaibari Estate: The iconic Makaibari estate in Darjeeling produces exceptional green tea. Addabarie Estate: The Assam Masala chai blend is an ode to the humble ginger and long conversations savoured over endless cups of tea. Addabarie has two different folk legends that throw light on its unusual name. The first traces back to wild ginger or 'adda' that once grew in abundance in the gardens. The second - that a river running through the estate was a popular gathering spot, or ‘adda’ for country boats. Finely twisted Assam orthodox tea leaves from our Moran Tea Estate that focuses on quality, the environment and ethics. 

This tea blend honours Gordon Smith, Chairman of the historic Moran Tea Company. His family founded the company and lived in the Moran Burra Bungalow for generations. He was a fixture of tea estate life in Dibrugarh doing untiring work for the plantations as well as social-educational work for the neighbouring townsfolk. This Assam Orthodox Tea India blend is a tribute to the Smiths’ legacy since 1864.

Tasting Notes: Bold, malty, sweet caramel with hints of chocolate.

The Estate: The Assam Moran Estate is part of the Moran circle - a group of ten or so tea estates including, Sepon, Dirai, Attabarie and Lepetkatta- which make the strongest Assam orthodox teas, prized around the world. The plantations grow quality-clones and the Broadleaf Assam Jat, giving it a distinct 'malty' character. This Assam orthodox tea blend is a selection of finely plucked and orthodox processed Assam long leaf tea, giving you a dark and aromatic cup.

Finely twisted, emerald coloured whole leaf Assam green tea from our sprawling and renowned Kenduguri Tea Estate.                                                                     

Kenduguri is synonymous with green tea, so much so that even the produce from other estates is referred to by the locals in Punjab as Kenduguri. The estate owes its cult status to the father-son duo Raja Singh & Kalyan Singh who under the patronage of the British governor in the province helped cement the popularity of Assam green tea. It is still widely loved by connoisseurs in the region.

Tasting Notes: Rich, Layered, Vegetal, hints of Rice & Green Berry.

Strength: Moderate

Kenguduri: This blend with well twisted dark green whole leaves with white tips- from the historic upper Assam estate of Kenduguri. The estate has been producing tea for more than a century. This pale olive cup is light and layered, with different notes that can be savoured over multiple brewings.
