Crafting a good jasmine tea can only be done by an artisan who knows how to pay homage to its delicate nature. These delicate white jasmine buds are typically picked in heady and hot conditions as the bud is tightly closed to protect itself from the Sepon sun. Then, this night blooming variety of jasmine bud bursts open in the safety of coolness to release its sweet and subtle apple blossom aromas. A Darjeeling Green Tea grown in an area known as “The Queen of the Hills” brings a luxurious creamy note to this well-balanced cup.

Smooth sipping!

This tea was my first introduction to Luxmi, and I was not disappointed! I wondered at first if it might be too floral for me as I generally prefer spiced teas like chai, but this jasmine green tea was a pleasant surprise. It isn’t bitter whatsoever. Add in a bit of local raw honey for what I’d consider a perfect cup! I’m looking forward to recommending this blend (and brand in general) to others.

Pleasant flavor and lovely aroma

The midnight bloom tea tastes primarily like a good green tea, with a fairly balanced flavor. The jasmine adds a hint of sweetness and depth to the flavor, but its primary contribution is its scent. The aroma of this tea is absolutely beautiful. The tea is too expensive for everyday drinking, but still nice overall.The tea bags are pyramid shaped, allowing the leaves and flowers to expand well while steeping and there was no leaf dust that I could detect. All ingredients appeared to be fresh and the bags were good for a second steep with a somewhat milder but still excellent flavor. The flavor was all but gone on a third steep, though the aroma remained. I did notice a few of the tea bags that had small tears in them; they weren't large enough for leaves to escape, but the potential is there.
